Tech Valley Communications CEO appointed to national CEO Council

(Albany, N.Y.) – Kevin O’Connor, chief executive officer and co-founder of Tech Valley Communications, the only locally owned, facilities-based telecommunications provider in Tech Valley, has been appointed to the CEO Council of COMPTEL, the leading industry association representing communications service providers and their supplier partners based in Washington, D.C.

The COMPTEL CEO Council is designed to bring together top executives from competitive telecommunications service providers and their supplier partners to provide a forum to discuss business, technology and policy issues. For nearly 25 years, COMPTEL has served as an advocate for the competitive telecommunications industry at the state, federal and international levels.

“COMPTEL has been a fierce advocate for the principles of a competitive telecommunications marketplace,” said O’Connor. “I look forward to working closely with this organization, commonly referred to as ‘the communications association of choice,’ to create positive results for our industry.”
