Wurld Media Taps Web Hosting Power of Tech Valley Communications to Support its BuyersPort Network
One of the fastest growing e-commerce sites on the Web, BuyersPort serves over 15 million customers in 140 countries
Albany and Saratoga Springs, NY – September 26, 2002 - Tech Valley Communications (TVC) of Albany and WURLD Media, Inc. of Saratoga Springs, today announced that TVC is providing Web hosting and infrastructure services for WURLD Media’s BuyersPort Network. BuyersPort is a shopping community that offers a loyalty program with more than 400 participating retailers and has become one of the fastest growing ecommerce sites on the Web, serving over 15 million customers in 140 countries. Due to the reach of BuyersPort’s customer base, WURLD Media is designing a new online center for participating retailers to provide real-time understanding of purchasing behavior, better consumer information, and results of new products and marketing campaigns. Currently, merchant partners receive more than 1 billion ads on a monthly basis through the BuyersPort Network.
